Michael Aboya, also known as Aboya, is a Ghanaian fine-art and fashion photographer. At the age of 19, he discovered his love of the arts and photography. He was studying software programming at the time, a subject in which he had no particular interest, but his parents wanted him to be a programmer. The journey and storey begin in August 2016, when he lost his father to cancer, which caused him to realise that one day he, too, will die; but will he die knowing that he pursued his dreams, or that he squandered his life?ithy personal essays.

Bubu Ogisi creates African fashion for Africans in Africa. Ogisi, the Nigerian creative director, stylist, and designer behind the label IAMISIGO, is dedicated to highlighting African philosophies, fabrics, and techniques. She and her tight-knit teams of artisans have created a label that defies many “rules” about what African brands are and should be.

IAMISIGO’s work is focused on using fashion to tell the colourful and complicated storey of Africa’s history, present, and future, rather than capturing Western audiences or selling big.

Ada Muluneh is an Ethiopian contemporary artist and photographer based in Addis Abeba. In Addis Abeba and elsewhere, she does commercial work as well as photojournalism. Muluneh received the European Union Prize and the CRAF International Photography Award at African Photography Encounters.
