Recently, Singer 2Baba took to his Instagram page to describe the transformation of Nigerian Afrobeat star, Adekunle Gold also known as AG Baby, as shocking.
He said, ” I just want 2 (to) assume that it’s only me that noticed that AG baby Smashed the last 2 years with hits back 2 back? Plus the maddest transformation. Abi I no well?”
Yes, AG Baby has really come far from his 2015 hit single ‘Orente’. A song that highlighted true love and pays tribute to a partner that stays with one through thick and thin.
Now AG Baby is giving us songs like ‘Sinner’ his 2021 hit song that basically shows another side of love from the pure innocent love in Orente. This kind of love is the heated volcanic type of love that is not just about love but everything else in-between.
Along with this change in his music style, AG Baby has gone from sporting a clean Afro cut paired with a small shadow beard with simple dressing to a full cornrow hairstyle with a bandholz beard and a very Model type of dressing.
The transformation is quite surprising and only a few other artistes have had similar transformations.
Adekunle Kosoko known by his stage name Adekunle Gold has come a long way from the young man searching for love with his then hit singles ‘Sade’ & ‘Ready’ to an award winning artistes with three solid albums; Gold, About 30 and Afro Pop Vol.1.
He is now married to multi talented singer, songwriter and actress; Simi and they have a beautiful daughter together.
