On February 5, 2022, Nigerian singer and rapper Olamide announced the release of his 12th studio album while hinting at his retirement.
This is what he said in a tweet that reads ” Next Album Unruly 95% ready. Release date = I don’t know Taking my time to make it the best ever… probably my last album.. dough I’ll drop singles once in a blue moon when I feel like it.. it’s been a mad ass run !! giving albums back to back.”
Olamide has been releasing top charting songs since the beginning of his career in 2010, when he was signed to ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes record label, until he started his own record label, Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) Nation, in 2012.

Since 2012, the YBNL nation has boasted of many artists, both past and present, who have taken the world by storm, including Lil Kesh, Viktoh, Adekunle Gold, Xino, Davolee, Limerick, Temmie Ovwasa, and many others, as well as new and current signees such as Fireboy DML, Asake, JayBoi, and B.Banks.
YBNL Nation is currently worth around $40 million dollars and has a distribution and publishing deal with Empire Distribution, while the singer has a net worth of $12 million as of 2021.
