Lagos Fashion Week (LFWNG) is an annual multi-day fashion event founded in 2011 by Omoyemi Akerele.
The Multi-day fashion week first took place in 2011 and was well received by both Nigerian designers and fashion enthusiasts. The 2012 event was organized by MTN Group and the 2018 event was sponsored by, heineken. Other sponsors include British council and Fetswallet.

Lagos Fashion Week, has celebrated a decade of innovation, provision of a platform for African designers to exhibit their collections to buyers, journalists, and fashion fans through it’s activities. Each season, around 12,000 people attend and over 60 designers are featured.

An urban/mordern island with an intriguing mix of people and cultures that is quickly becoming Africa’s business melting pot. Lagos Fashion week Presents BABAYO
Lagos Fashion Week, as a premier fashion event on the African fashion calendar, leads the way with programmes that assist, enhance, and expand the fashion sector. Aside from the runway, the yearly event serves as a tangible venue for redefining fashion as a beneficial instrument for business and innovation in Nigeria.
Lagos Fashion Week has also broadened its reach, with three major platforms running concurrently with the fashion week – Fashion Business Series, Fashion Focus Africa, and Lagos Fashion Week Presents. The former delivers industry master workshops, while the latter provides incubation support for developing talent from throughout the continent. Lagos Fashion Week also represents the sector to the Nigerian government and possible investors.
